It’s no secret that women are under-represented in technical roles compared to the proportion of women in the general working population. This is no different in Broadcast but there is hope in the form a wide rage of people working to change that.
In this section of The Broadcast Knowledge, I bring together details of groups, organisations, programmes and any other ways I find in which the broadcast industry is promoting and supporting diversity in is workforce. I do this by talking to the people who are at the forefront of this work, people who are participating in the programmes and people in companies who recruit for the industry. Though everyone has a similar aim, their approaches and target audiences are different so bringing them into one place for easier comparison is a resource not found elsewhere.
